TCAG and the Census

As the affiliate of the State Data Center (SDC) for Tulare County, TCAG maintains and distributes information primarily from the Census Bureau and the California Department of Finance (DOF). In addition, TCAG also has a limited amount of information from the US Departments of Commerce and Agriculture, the Great Valley Center, and other resources that provide demographic or economic data on the county. TCAG staff was actively involved in coordinating the Census2000 efforts within the county and continues to work with the Census Bureau to distribute newly released data. TCAG also provides feedback to the state and federal officials on future data projects and will assist in preparatory work related to the 2010 Decennial Census.

Each year, the California Department of Finance (DOF) releases population and housing estimates:

TCAG has produced and made available to everyone electronically, comprehensive information derived from the 1990 and 2000 Censuses. These profiles cover in-depth many of the following subjects:

Information and Services

All information collected and maintained by TCAG is available to TCAG member agencies as well as the general public, upon request. TCAG is a library for state and federal reports that are locally relevant to issues of demography, social welfare conditions and economic conditions.
